In the present day most of the people lead a very busy life. Therefore they hardly find a time to maintain and look after their gardens. Very often they forget even to water them because of their busy lifestyle. Then the plants and trees will not receive sufficient amount of water and the garden would look miserable. Moreover even if they water the garden, they won’t be able to supply the exact amount of water that is needed by the plants. Hence, a considerable amount of water will be wasted and that’ll be even harmful for the plants. Not only for the gardens, but also the professional farmers also have to face this issue.

  • Using the service of servants to do the job.

  • Using a manual system for watering.

  • Using an automated system for watering.

 

Our Solution :

            In our solution we use an automated system for watering the garden to get rid of all the problems discussed above. At several places in the garden, couple of soil humidity sensors will be placed. The moisture level of the soil will be detected by them and if the level is lower than the minimum amount of water needed by the plants, the system will automatically turn on the water system in that particular area. When the moisture level reaches the sufficient amount, watering system will automatically be turned off. This will save a considerable amount of water, money and also valuable time of the people. Likewise this system will be of immense use for everyone.

 

Special Functionalities of the System:

  • User will be given the ability to choose between 2 modes as Fully Automatic and Manual mode. In the fully automatic mode, the system will detect the moisture of the soil and automatically start watering. In the manual mode, the system will indicate the user that which particular areas are need to be watered. Then the user will have to activate the system manually.

  • User will be able to choose the level of moisture that each area needs.

  • User is given the ability to choose the time period which the plant should be watered.

  • User will be able to decide how many times a day should the plants be watered.
